This poster was made for the "Sud Stadt Veedels Fest" in Cologne. "Veedel" is the local dialect for "quarter". Once a year the three main streets of the southern quarter are gathering a big street festival with a variety of street food, activities and live acts on stage which are well known in the area for their mainly festive music. 

The design and illustration is featuring the spirit of the quarter and the old facades in art nouveau style of which the residents are particularly proud.
